Might I suggest downloading Fedora Core 6? Now that you have a working
Linux system it would be easy to download it and burn. Installing k3b,
if it's not already installed, makes burning discs very easy. There may
be a lot of other KDE stuff it will want to install but I feel k3b's
usefulness as an ISO burner is worth it. Others will, no doubt, have
other opinions.
Perhaps you don't have a CD burner or haven't burned an
ISO disc before. Alternatively, you could purchase it inexpensively from
retailers such as OSdisc.com. The link for FC6 to purchase five discs
for $9.95 + shipping is here:
http://www.osdisc.com/cgi-bin/view.cgi/products/linux/fedora/inst.html

You might also be interested in a 'live CD' of FC 6. These basically do
a somewhat minimal installation and you download the rest from the
Internet. These usually work well if you have a broadband connection.

You can purchase it for $1.95 + shipping here:

I am not in any way affiliated with OSdisc.com. However, I have
purchased from them in the past. Last year I purchased a four-disc set
of Mandriva. When I received a badly scuffed disc they promptly
replaced it without my having to return the damaged disc. There are
many others that sell discs. Just google if you are interested.

I know I didn't answer your question in exactly the way you asked.
However, FWIW, I think you would be better off and have a much more
secure system if you used a newer distribution. FC 3 is really dated by
now.
