I've been trying to install Linux on my 700 Mhz iBook. Fedora
installs and operates with no problems. The graphics card reads at a
ATI Radeon M6 LY. I want to install a different version of Linux
(OpenSuse, preferably). OpenSuse, Debian, Slackintosh and others
install okay, but when I try to activate X, I get a blank screen.

I've read that installing XFree86-4 can help, but OpenSuse installs
X11R6. Can I just swap one for the other? Or is there something more
complicated that I need to do.

Thanks.
