I am new to Linux, using the HELIX Boot CD.
I boot up with a HELIX CD.
I change the IP address using IFCONFIG ETH0 10.0.0.1 Netmask 255.0.0.0
(The IP address of the another, Windows computer computer is 10.0.0.2).
After a few minutes Linux machine changes to 10.0.0.3
I know this by looking at IFCONFIG and by having a constant PING from
the Encase aquiring computer disappear when it is pointing to 10.0.0.1
and start appearing with 10.0.0.3 - this is a repeatable.
Can anyone comment?
