Oh Sorry, I actually meant I can't. I have gone to Windows Vista to do this
dxdiag and also ran this Dell Wireless WLAN Utility, see below for the details:
1.) Supplicant/Software details: Dell Wireless EAP-TTLS 4.170.25.12
Hardware details :
Board: Dell Wireless 1395 WLAN Mini card rev 2.10
Chipset: BCM 4315 / BCM22062000
In case u need the Hardware Specifications the Laptop is :
Dell Inspiron 1525 with Intel Pentium Dual CPU T2330 @ 1.60 GHz with Phoenix
ROM BIOS plus ver 1.10..
2.)
As regards the sound card it seems it is now okay. I was able to locate a
video file in the 'example' folder and I played the Mandela video and the
volume level was better at last unlike when i was using the test media files I
used in initializing.
3.) Thanks, I have been there before mailing and still went back to search
further but still can't locate them.
Ubuntu seems to have rearranged the File / Folder Structure to look like the
Windows XP type, meanwhile the OS is Vista and it does have a separate folder
structure. See below for details :
From Ubuntu we have :
Places--> Computer- -> CD/RWDVD, Media Direct, Recovery, FileSystem.
Browsing the Media Direct Folder i got ---> Dell, Documents and Settings,
Program Files, Thumbnail_Folder, Welcome Pictures, Windows (All Folders) and
the following files: boot.ini, bootmgr, MD3.txt, version.ini, ...etc
I dug deeper into all the folders but wouldn't locate my documents, music ,
videos and other files i wanted and the windows folders is not having the
wallpaper files inside, it only has the web folder inside it. Note: The Media
Direct was the entertainment programm that need not go through the windows OS
to operate in Vista .
See Below to see the Vista File Structure:
C --> Dell, Doctemp, Drivers, Program Files, Users,Ubuntu, Ubuntu-backup,
Users among other folders and files.
The documents I wanted are inside the user folder, username, desktop, my
documents and I copied some of them to the Ubuntu folder that has another
folder called "shared" yet I couldnt locate them from Ubuntu.
Thanks for your concern.

I'm not a "Wubi" user, but I do use 8.04.
on point 1., did you mean "cannot"? If so, what wireless card is it? I
know Ubuntu struggles with some newer Atheros cards. Mandriva handles them
quite nicely though....
on point 2., you may just need to turn up the volume in the "control
center".
on point 3., you should be able to go to the Ubuntu side of things and go
to "Places" then "Computer" and see the Windows partition.
