  Sorry, don't like to hijack, but I'd like to know how others like Mint Deb, 
esp. those who have used Mint (and/or Debian) to any real degree.  Personally, 
after Mint and Ubu I like Deb and Fedora, not necessarily in that order, based 
on the versions I've tried.  It seems that I liked Fedora more overall, though 
I prefer GNOME over KDE.  Needless to say I didn't play enough to bother with 
alternate versions (Fedora w/ GNOME, if there's such a beast), nor did I check 
out the repositories....
  Ok, anyway, back on track.  How's Mint Deb for h'ware detection, how's the 
repository, etc.  Who cares about what the "pros" say, just personal opinion, 
guys and gals.

  P.S.  Yeah, I could burn a disk and see for myself but I'm up to my armpits 
in disks!  101
