Back when Linus decided to switch, Arch did not have enough momentum
and it seemed the people around Tom Lord would always go for the concept
rather than for the user.

They were right back then, and today there are a lot of people working
on making life with arch easier, like bazaar, archzoom/viewarch, or
archway.

Personally I was never really concerned about the restrictive license,
but all the wasteful "politics" of Larry McVoy on LKML and elsewhere seem
to help no one, really.
