agreed. 


as for multicast boot: multicast is really underused in the Unix world. I
built a multicast RCP a few years ago and the performance improvement is
really stunning. It turned out multicast is worthwhile for >= 4 hosts -- a
much lower breakeven threshhold than I expected. 

So your multicast boot would be a good thing.
