Different sockets, yes. I've updated the M57SLI howto with a picture of an SPI version; I'll make a picture of a PLCC version too at work today. As for flashing, flashrom does not find the rom chip, which is unsurprising: # ./flashrom -vv Calibrating delay loop... ok No LinuxBIOS table found. Found chipset "NVIDIA MCP55": Enabling flash write... OK. No EEPROM/flash device found.
