I like it. You've tested it I assume. I like separating out the DISTRO flags the way you have done. It makes it very clear what flag is related to what function.
I realized this fix took a while, but I think the slow nature of the process got us to the ideal result. We're really using the buildtarget script in the way we originally intended it to used.
