I have tested it on my fedora 8 machine. It would be nice to have it testd on a different disto that has a older ld version. Just as a sanity check.
I think I can do the commit from here. I have not used svn before but it seems to be pretty easy. Basically, I should do a fresh checkout from tip, then apply the patch and do a commit from there, right? No problem on the wait.
