Open firmware is a nice idea, but you still have to write all of your
drivers twice once for open firmware and once for linux. With
linuxbios you just write your drivers once. Just for linux.

Just for clarification. What linuxBIOS does is implement a minimal
firmware that is just smart enough to enable the RAM, and read a linux
kernel out of the firmware, and jump to it. It's pretty trivial.

This is a totally different structure than either the standard PC
BIOS, or open firmware.

While there is still some work to do priming the pump linuxbios is
about being lazy, as well as being fast.

If you are prepared to work with low level details we would be happy
to have you.

I would be happy to see linuxBIOS running on the PowerPC as well.
