it's nothing to do with the architecture.
dynamic ram, which we all use for the most part, will retain its contents
without refresh for "a while". How long this is depends on a lot of
things.

We're talking about it here. We call it "resurrection". Old core-memory
machines used to do this all the time.

no. The only implication of hardware reset is that on some machines
refresh stops for a while. That's it.
