SiS 630 does not support PCMCIA natively. It is the problem of the
added PCMCIA controller.

Probably a bug in Xfree86. Did you try XFree86 4.x ?? If it still does

No, the trident.c uesed for SiS 7018 audio does not support power
management AFIAK.
