Mainly just the pain involved in either switching back to real mode or 
finding a useful protected-mode entry point - which are problems solved for 
LinuxBIOS anyway, aren't they?

I'm sure contributions will be welcome :)

Making RedBoot drive the DiskOnChip ought to be fairly simple, and would 
also be quite nice.
