I just noticed that the registered SDRAM reports back its size one way, its row page size (RPS) another way. Size it reports back as one side with 256 Mbytes, other side 0. RPS reports back as 01, 01 (i.e. two sides). So the EEPROM may be wrong and/or reporting back bad info on what's on the SDRAM stick. I've heard about this sort of thing, i.e. the EEPROM on SDRAM lying, so I should not have been surprised. I'll try to pin this down tomorrow. ron
