there is the LFS or LinuxFromScratch.org project and they say they can get a server down to what was it? 5 meg? in any case chips that seem to be able to take the place of the bios chip are growing in size, i just wonderd if you had considerd takeing linux bios a little farther and make linuxbios firewall or linux bios file server? where the whole os loads from bios gets shadowd into ram and well, you guys probobly know better than I. id like to hear your input on this though :) is it possible? is it a good idea? where could i get information if i considerd takeing on such a task?
