Have you done this ? I just bought an old 386 with 40 meg mfm hd.
Going to get a larger ide and a bit more ram. Then see how well it
works.

I have a 486 DX / 2 66 200 meg hd 16 megs ram that runs great
as a X termial. Many people have bought a 486, then a pentium then
now another P II. Same with schools who have 20 486 's that can
only run win 3.1 or win 95 slow.

Maybe showing that you can use your new hardware
with old would be a good thing. Show that they could have 1 really good pentium and
keep their
old 486's as termials running software on the pentuim.

This would appeal to someone who wants to be cheap. ie schools
with a low bugget.
