If we get a couple of people to show up, it means that we
can split shifts and people can actually go check out other
stuff and mingle with the other geeks.

I take it you've done this before?  I've worked at computer
expos before, and after the first day it does sort of get 
boring.  

If we do end up getting a booth sponsored by someone [or if
it's cheap enough maybe we can pool some funds?], we probably
want enough people that there would be always two people at 
the booth at a time, and that hopefully no single person
would have to stand more than four hours per day.
If it's anything like Linux Expo, where hours were 10-6(I think),
that would mean at least four people, but a few more (6-8 total) 
would make it easier on all.
