I think the objective is to get the groups to hold the events, and not
nessisarily to get it between the set dates.
(Note: Here's another reason to set a single day next year, people who
can't do it then just won't, they'll do it when they can do it)
As for "care packages", I've gotten boxes from SuSE, Caldera,
LinuxCentral, and someone sending out a lot of Applix CDs, but it
doesn't look to actualy be applix.
