Emacs and VI aren't really word processors as they have no ( that I am aware of )
ability to format fonts , styles , margins blah blah , pretty pretty pretties
...
They are text editors and their focus is on the content and the manipulation of
said content . At that ... I don't see how they could be radically improved . The
Macros available in Word are a sad excuse for the functionality made available by
emacs and vi with regards to content manipulation .
