Hi,

I'd like to inform the various LDD events organisers that a first
release of the Demolinux CD is now available from the Demolinux website
(www.demolinux.org).

Demolinux is a demonstration CD-ROM for Linux that basically lets one
boot Linux on a PC (i386 only, with VESA 2.0 card and >= 32 Mb RAM) without
touching the hard disk (no partitioning). There should be more information
on the Web site but that is not the case currently.

We believe it to be a great tool for Linux advocates as well as for events
like the Linux Demo Days, and the persons behind the project worked very
hard to finish it in time for LDD'99.

We will be looking for sponsors to mass-produce these CDs, but for now
we can only let it available on our FTP servers and hope people
will download the image and burn their own CDs. Even so, we're not
very confident on our server to handle lots of trafic, do we ask
recipients of this message to *not* spread the word about this
and to provide FTP mirroring if possible.

Of course, feedback is welcomed (write to [EMAIL PROTECTED]).
And we're looking for a secondary DNS server because we're experiencing
trouble with the Public DNS Service a Granitecanyon.com.

Regards,

        S.
