Hey Gang,
>That's nothing, we have a LUG-TSEC! Not going anywhere, though.
Thats the point I am trying to make Satya, Why bifurcate? Why can't all of
us just be ILUG-BOM? Wouldn't it help of all the Linux users meet under a
common organisation? The whole purpose of forming a LUG gets humped if you
have different sub-Lugs under the same LUG. Come on gang this isn't the
government of India , that we need wards , districts etc in the same damn
city.
As far as the argument that people just need to get together to solve
problems , and that is why we form ward Lugs, according to me is pretty
preposterous and bogus. If you want help, post it on the ML , call some
Guru's like john, satya,Sagar,Nagarjuna etc. I'm sure they would help. If you
do want to meet like minded people from your area , COME to the meet. Meet
more people there. Once the intro's are done you can meet everyday whilst
taking a walk in the morning!
Don't start making mini-lugs it kills the spirit of the whole thing. A LUG
is not about getting together and exchanging installation blues et al, It
also is responsible for the spread of the whole concept of Linux, open
source etc, Which according to my opinion can be done best under one common
roof. If you really feel the urge to help in starting , maintain a LUG
,start helping the administrators of Ilug-BOM .I'm sure ILUG-BOM could use
with a lot of dedicated help.
Lets commend the thought and effort put by people like John , Nagarjuna ,
Amit, Sagar etc in the starting up and maintaining of the LUG and lets not
put a damper on their efforts by doing this ward LUG thingy.
Then again this my point of view , and you can differ :))
