ok people i would be most grateful if anybody could shed some light on this.
1)What would be the most optimum settings of MRU and MTU in the
/etc/ppp/options file.I set these to 1500 is that alright?
2)is it possible for netscape to give errroneous readings about the data
transfer speeds in the status bar?
3)in that case does the system manager give better readings with the ppp-in
and ppp-out load.i use the stripchart plotter for this.
4)When i try to use netscape messenger i get the message that the user mail
server is not setup but i have set it up in the way similar to the method i
use in messenger under win 98..why the message then?
5) and lastly when i monitor the system memory usage i always have 29 of my
32 mb of ram always in use and on an average only bout 1mb free and the rest
is virtual memory and way i can free up some of this 29 mb that always seems
to be locked up ?
