you are mistaken nagarjun vsnl does give 56k logins on dial up lines i have
a gvc 56k modem and i do it regularly.what i would like to know is wether
its a genuine 56k modem or is it a usr 33.6k upgradable to 56k.b'cause i
have tried both 33.6 usr & 56k usr both work fine with me.

Check with your ISP (vsnl) also. Vsnl as far as I know cannot give you more
tahn 33.6 on ordinary dialup lines.
