In countries like U.A.E (Dubai) and Saudi Arabia, port 80 is blocked and all
http requests are to be made
through a proxy server which filters out "undesirable" content.

However, in the UAE you can connect through any proxy server, not
necessarily the "official" proxy server,
so people can still access "blocked" sites through many public internet
proxy servers.
