>From what i understand, your proxy server is also your gateway to the
internet - albeit a restricted gateway.
Then this shouldnt be a problem - just dial-in to your proxy/gateway server
and in your netscape browser do the following -
1. Goto Edit -> Preferences -> Advanced -> Proxies -> Manual
2. Here put in the ip address and port no. of your proxy server
3. Try browsing !! :-)
BTW, which version of Linux are u using - RH5.2 had problems connecting to
the internet because of a dummy GATEWAY statement.

here in Saudi Arabia we cannot browse all the sites many of the sites are
blocked they use a proxy server to block it when we dial our request is
prossed through a proxy server 212.26.62.249 port 8080
