Well the original problem was that the module parport_lowlevel
used to access the lpt port could not be found by the kernel. So I
cant communicate with my printer, and get a "no such device"
message when I try to configure my printer. AFAIK, there are no
new modules involved and it used to work right before I reinstalled
the linux system (I do that quite often)
