A simple solution is:
put /boot (or wherever your boot image resides - /boot is RHL specific)
on its own primary partition - 32 M. Add about 128 M swap space.
You don't need any other partitions as such, but you can always go for
many. I tend to put /var and /var/log and /tmp and /home all on separate
partitions (and also /home/binand :-) The sizes would depend on the
total disk size, but make sure that there is enough free space left in /
for later installation of packages. A full install of RHL 6.0 will need
about 1.2 GB, and more for RHL 6.1.
