I spoke to the HOD and she said we could have it in March only. 1st/2nd
week is fine. We would also possibly get the Auditorium (250 seats) with
a projector. The lab would be our first floor NT/linux lab. That can
seat 30 people.

Also, there is a problem with sponsors. The college admin is very
finnicky about having anybody sponsor anything in this college. They
still think that this is a govt run college even after it has been made
wholly govt aided only.

Charges: I told her that we would not require much, just TA and
documentation charges. The computer depts association (ACE) wants to
charge about Rs.50 per head. I think that this is okay as it will also
limit the number of attendees to those who are genuinely interested. No
trolls.

Finally, how much time do you think we would take to cover everything.
Accordingly we can decide when it is to be held.

I told her we could have lectures on weekdays (evenings) and the lab
session on a Sunday. This is not yet fixed though, so please tell me when
you are available.

I will be sending the list of volunteers in another mail.

Philip
