- nopes bud, i dont think so. why should it deter people ? its a petty sum
which is going to be used for lug expenses, and not personal expenses of any
lug member.

- i think there is a little confusion here. joining is free. if you want to
come to the meets and use the lug resources, please pay a nominal charge of
"xyz". thats the funda here.
i more than welcome the idea of charging a fee for joining, if its a
majority decision.

- im not in for the idea of collecting money based on expenses each time.
its better we collect a fixed amount for the expenses (present and future).

- i dont think anyone would hesistate even otherwise. and if we manage to
collect a really good sum, the next lug meet will see maharaja macs instead
of biscuits ;)
BTW, do you know that ILUG-b'lore collects an entrance fee for the meets.
they get an attendance of abt 60-70.
the whole idea behind this thread is to have a healthy discussion and based
on various opinions arrive at a decision. so keep 'em goin ....
im waiting to hear from other members as well, especially the core group.
