I have been connecting via GPRS (Airtel) for the past 6 months or so. I didn't have much trouble setting it up after a bit of googling. The speed will depend on the handset. On my Nokia 6670 (connected via bluetooth) I get upto 7KBPS. An EDGE compatible phone would give you relatively faster speeds, upto 14KBPS or so. Tata Indicom's VData card works well too. I have used it on my laptop and configuration is quite simple (This was discussed on the list a few days ago too). You will get speeds of upto 18KBPS. -- Regards Vivek J.
