What is the brand of your modem/router that you are using currently?  I
have also had one 502t go bad.  Fortunately, it is a rental so MTNL
replaced it.  Personally, I think rental is better - the unit does not
work, the onus is on MTNL to fix/replace it.

BTW, I don't see the 1250 plan on their website

I have the Night Unlim. plan; for me 500MB/mo is enough for day time
web/email access.

At the time of composing this message (around 14:25), I am experiencing partial
network outage @ MTNL.  For the past 20 mins or so, I have been unable to 
access any 
hosts outside of MTNL network.
