So whats the final deal ? Does anyone have a clear specifications of the device ? I have also heard some rumours on HRD being approached the 'famous' negroponte(OLPC) himself and also by big shots google and M$ . I am not bothered if the manufacturing costs could be met. It would be very easily available for that price as HRD has publicly announced its willingness to bear some costs . What about the GNU/Linux community . Wouldn't it be good for us if we get to know the specs and the OS used ( which is a linux kernel and god knows what else ) . People in the community can help the govt by writing some apps and making it ready for the student who gets the device . willing to see a positive response from HRD ministry !!
