I checked ptp code and I saw that PTP was complaining the the timestamp
was zero. Compare this to my previous error, where this _didn't_ happen,
but the frequency must have been zero. I'm not sure if I improved or
worsened things.
I am currently investigating upgrading my kernel - or at least the cadence
driver. I see the linux-xlnx respository
has a much more recent cadence MAC driver. It looks like they are doing
development as recently as this month, whereas the previous updates were
two years ago.
