Hi All I have been using the "linuxptp" project for the work that I had been doing in the past. I have benefitted greatly from the library and various threads posted on "linuxptp-users" group.
While I had been reading about the domain of time keeping for the past few months, I just published an article named "Introduction to the Science of Timekeeping <https://medium.com/@patwaripuneet15/introduction-to-the-science-of-timekeeping-937ad838a07e?sk=8180a3cb9cb94ccf3df02b978b86ed5a>". The article gives a brief history, evolution and standard definitions in the domain of timekeeping. This is the first article in a 2-story series. The next article will talk about using PTP for achieving nanosecond accuracy and precision for the world's largest optical telescope to be built, called Thirty Meter Telescope.
