I assume that ptp4l synchronizes the PHC to a GM on your network. - That GM is synchronized to the global TAI. - So is the GPS receiver. - And thus the two clocks, PHC and GPS, agree. The PHC driver simply does random stuff. The imx8 is causing all kinds of issues everywhere. We have had multiple complaints about that part. Sure glad I'm not using it!
