Since DDR400 and DDR333 are about the same price anyway, I'd go with the 400 (PC3200). When I was looking at a memory upgrade, I found some Crucial RAM on Newegg for a good price. The original memory is DDR333 for some unknown reason since the Athlon 64s should handle the faster memory just fine. What the BIOS will do with it is anyone's guess. Still DDR400 should run slower without any problem and shouldn't cost you much if any more. > 2. The Wiki links to a PDF file that shows how to take the thing completely apart http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c00212209.pdf The memory is easy to get at, just seven screws: three on the bottom and the four for the keyboard. See sections 5.9 and 5.10 in the above PDF. One interesting thing, apparently with some newer HP/Compaq laptops, the external memory cover provides access to *both* memory slots. I was quite impressed with that.
