| From: Lovell Mcilwain <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> | I am wondering is there a way that I can send mail using the mail command | without it showing that the mail came from machine.local?
Quite possibly. But you have not told us nearly enough. What is your MUA (Mail User Agent)? I would guess that it is mailx, the Berkeley mail program. Any reason you need to use that MUA? Not that it is a bad choice. What is your MTA (Mail Transfer Agent)? sendmail? postfix? qmail? Something else? What is your linux distro -- that might give some hints. Some MUAs can talk directly to a remote mail server. For example, PINE. That may mean that you can solve your problem more easily. _______________________________________________ LinuxR3000 mailing list [email protected] http://lists.pcxperience.com/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/linuxr3000 Wiki at http://prinsig.se/weekee/
