I have a zv6000 that is starting to make a vibrating noise. I'm pretty sure it's the main fan (in the middle of the base). I opened up the case and blew compressed air through things which cleaned out a lot of dust but today the noise is worse. Has anyone else had the same issue? Were you able to find replacement parts anywhere? I'm worried the fan's going to cut out and I won't be able to use my machine at all.
I looked on HP parts for a replacement fan but they don't sell fans to end-users. A friend of mine that does HP resale says he only found the CPU fan in a quick search and that ran for $100. Haven't called HP about it yet but I'm not too hopeful as I'm out of warranty. -Toshio
