So it's time to summarize all this years with our laptops.

Personally I won't ever buy another HP laptop :) I've had several
problems (my keyboard broke[1], also my hard disk[2], I couldn't find
any universal AC charger which worked perfectly with my laptop[3],
it's big and heavy...) and right now it's freezing in Linux and also
in Windows, so I guess either the CPU or the MB are dying. :/

See you soon in another brand's forum,

Rafael Rodríguez

[1] For a simple keyboard replacement, i had to send my laptop to
Manchester, UK (!!) and stay with no PC for three or four weeks...
[2] Keyboard and hard disk were still under warranty because they
broke before the 2-year warranty expired, but anyway it's fucked up!
[3] I had to look for one because the technical service lost the original one...

The wiki is soon to be gone. There are several different reasons
behind this decision:

- The only activity on it during the last year has mostly been spam bots
- With current kernels the R3000 series laptops are well supported
without any special tweaking (yay!) and the information on the wiki is
outdated
- The host is horrible and I will be moving all my own stuff to a new host soon
- I have donated my nx9105/R3000 to a friend and am now pleased to own
a laptop that is actually mobile enough to carry around in a bag (an
Apple Macbook)

If anyone wants to keep hosting it somewhere I can provide a dump of
the database.

Thanks everyone for your input on this list and on the wiki. This is
my signing off, so take care and have fun.
