Håkan,

Thank you so much for all you have done, not just with the wiki but for
participating in the list as well.

As for me, I can live without the wiki as long as this e-list continues
and is archived somewhere. I intend to use my R3240 for probably at
least another year or so, and the list should be more than adequate to
handle the occasional question. The R3000 and R4000 is no longer being
sold new, but there will still be occasional newbies out there who need
help, and I feel it is my duty to continue participating here. Getting
help means I need to give back as well.

Regarding the quality, I have to agree that there are some things I am
unhappy with -- keyboard, flaky HD connector, easily scratched top, and
t does weigh a lot. But I have to say the screen is beautiful and the
1680 x 1050 with Edgy amd64 still turns heads when people look at it. I
haven't tried Beryl or Compiz, but some day I might. As for the
touchpad, the fact that it has an on-off switch was a prime selling
point when I bought it. I had no intention of ever using it and as soon
as I placed the order for the computer I went to the local computer
store and bought a Logitech wireless optical USB mouse.

This is my first laptop and I bought it to learn Linux with. It has
served that function well. The fact that I also learned something about
laptop design as well will help when I decide to get a new computer
some day.
