Friends, First of all, thanks for the advices you posted before on how to solve the overheating problem.
I carried out the procedures as advised. I opened the case, cleaned the fans and the surrounding areas and it is still overheating. The same problem is happening: when I try to use processor power (let's say, running Lives to capture a segment from a dvd), the machine shuts down! I thought of installing a slower processor to see if it will keep overheating and trying to substitute the fans.
