The Last time I went to best buy, I asked the laptop guys if anyone in
the store used Linux on a regular bases and did that person know of a
Linux compatible wireless bridge. They informed me of the Linux guru
in back. 5 min later Max came out and informed me that the only
version of Linux he "knows" well is backtrack2 and that he had never
installed Linux "per say".

I just walked away.

I think for the most part, given their current employee situation, it
is probably better that Best Buy hold back on informing people about
Linux. It is not as important that people hear about Linux as it is
important that they hear about it correctly and that their first
experience with Nix is a good one. People need to be well informed
about Linux, why it is better and where industry fails to help the
community with support and compatibility.

My family loves their Linux machine and the Windows admins I know hate
Linux. That is because I have explained Linux to mom while no one has
ever explained thing to the M$ Admins, nor will they let me because
they know everything about "computers". So mom's machine has always
worked , while my friend Grant has a computer in the corner of his
house that he never turns on because it does not run .exe files.
