While we should always be vigilant in making sure our data and
communications are secure, we aren't always being scanned at the
coffee shop.

If someone wants to do a little sniffing, it should be fully
disclosed, shared and agreed upon by the group beforehand.  That way
people that are unsure if their connection is secure can stop what
they are doing while the person is scanning.  Maybe we should have a
"war" night where people come in knowing that they are coming into a
semi-hostile environment.
