Oh absolutely. That's why I'm considering TimeWarner. I live in a place that has very new cable plant. As such I can get great reliability and speed. Data ownership doesn't imply hosting at home. It's what I choose to do, because of the large amount of gear I have. If it was just various services on Linux, then a hosted solution would be fine.
