The list of GTA02 (Neo FreeRunner) hardware distributors on openmoko.org
lists a whole bunch of places in various non-USA countries (mostly
Europe) who claim to have the phones in stock and orderable, and the
price is reasonable for me (around 300 euros).

I'm going to order mine from Germany after I verify that GSM 1900 MHz
coverage still exists in my area using a Motorola V66 which supports the
exact same GSM bands as the European Openmoko.
