I use vi to do my text editing in linux and in windows. Im hoping that in this case I can ask a windows question regarding VI. (since vi is a Uniz/Linux thing)
I use the old vi text editor not vim I guess. Why change what works for me. Anyway. On windows when i open a dos prompt and then start vim the screen is too small. for some of my files. You know it wraps things around and doesnt show everything on the same line. I changed the dos window so that it is bigger which should show everhthing I need. BUT when I open vi.exe the screen imedietely shrinks back to some default setting. I asume that this has to do with some set command, while Im in Vi but I cant seem to figure out which one. can anyone tell me which one. I tried window, I tried wrapmargin, I tried setting the term to vt100, Ok Im just guessing, but nothing seems to change the window size. What am I missing.
