I don't know if these have been mentioned yet, but these tools are for
managing almost every facet of a data center, not just tasks.

Bigbrother: A lot of people use it and you'll see it everywhere, but
it's for way more than just tracking.

Jira: It's one of the best, but it's only free for not for profit use.
You'll surely find what you want here, but it might be for a price.

OpenQRM: Really nice, but it might be more than what you want(how big is
the data center?)

Racktables: I've played around a bit with this, it's really extensible.
It's actually pretty cool as well, but it's really for more than just
Task management.

You can use any of these, but folks who rely on these systems take the
core of an existing system and hack it to fit their needs(or build their
own). There a tons of other systems and some were designed for specific
companies and offered to the community vi GPL. A lot of these all you to
even track billing issues(racktables for sure)
