For one..The LiveCD's DO NOT mount any system drives UNLESS, however,
you mounted an existing system drive on that computer, which you can
do manually.  While the LiveCD is in use, nothing is ever written to
your computer's hard disk unless of course you mounted and tried to
write to that disk.

Please tell us what you were doing while using the LiveCD so that we
can assist in attempting to recover your system if that is even
possible.
