Where did that symlink go to. It sounds more like you deleted the destination

I have heard this is a LINUX specific problem and now the file manager cannot copy or paste or execute or basically anything with new programs or even files that have symbolic links. Any experience with this situation ? How in the world do I clear this up ? I need to backup some things and the symbolic link associated files are generating "operation not permissible" messages in the file manager do to when I deleted a symbolic link on the desktop. It really messes something up when you delete a symbolic link on the desktop. Thanks, Patrick -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Linux Users Group.
